2 Reasons To Use A CPAP Cleaner

Posted on

If you have sleep apnea, then you need to have help breathing at night. In most cases, that means that you have a CPAP machine. This machine has a hose and a mask that you wear over your face that blows a constant stream of air at a positive pressure into your nose and/or mouth so that your airway stays open and so that you are able to breathe all night. You may also have a humidifier on your CPAP machine so that the air that is getting blown into your airway all night doesn't dry out your mouth. Even if you don't, the moisture from your breath can gather in the mask and hose, and all that moisture can leave nasty things growing in the hose and the machine. One way to deal with that is to use a machine that is designed to clean out your CPAP for you. Why should you choose a machine to clean your CPAP?

Automatic

One reason is that the cleaning process is going to be automatic. You don't have to do anything other than just set the machine up and turn it on. The machine will do all the cleaning, letting you go on to do all the things that you need to do for your day. Even if you only would spend a few minutes doing the cleaning manually, that's a few minutes that you might need in order to get everything else done in your day, and it can be easy to forget that you haven't done it until it's bedtime.

Better Clean

Another reason to use a CPAP cleaning machine is that they are going to be able to make sure that the machine is cleaner than you can do it yourself. All the moisture build-up can end up causing mold and mildew to start growing in all the little places you can't even see, but the right kind of cleaning machine will be able to get into all those nooks and crannies and will make sure that none of that stuff starts to grow in your CPAP so that you aren't breathing it in.

If you have sleep apnea, you want to make sure that you are doing everything you can to breathe well at night. That includes using a machine to clean your CPAP machine every day so that it is going to be nice and clean and healthy.
